New Type Single-rotor Hammer Crusher

    The working principle of new type single-rotor hammer crusher is striking the raw materials by the hammers at a high-speed rotating to achieve the crushing effect. This kind of crusher has the advantages of simple structure, high crushing ratio, high production efficiency, etc. It can be used in both of wet and dry working conditions, and widely applied in the industries of mining, cement, coal, metallurgy, construction material, road and bridge building, chemical and so on. Particularly for the medium hardness materials and fragility materials, this kind of crusher can achieve a perfect fine crushing effect. For meeting the different requests of customers, it can alter the discharge size through adjusting the gap of grate plate.

Working Principle
    The new type single-rotor hammer crusher achieves the crushing effect through three main ways: the hammers striking the ore blocks, the ore blocks impacting the lining plates and the collision between ore blocks.

    The raw material is transported to the crusher by the feeding machine. During the feeding process, some ore blocks, bigger than the allowed maximum feeding size, are kept out by the protective bars beyond the rotor. The electric motor drives the rotor, on which the hammers hang in staggered form. While the rotor rotates, the hanging hammers will stretch outward under the action of centrifugal force. Then the hammers hit the big ore blocks on the protective bars. The big ore blocks are crushed into small and impacted onto the T shape impact plates. Meanwhile, there is a massive of collision between the ore blocks. The above processes are continuous in the crusher cavity until the ore blocks are crushed into less than the gap of grate plate and fall out of the crusher.

The comparison of new type single-rotor hammer crusher and impact crusher

1. The comparison of hammers.
The impact crusher uses the blow bars to crushing materials, while the new type single-rotor crusher uses the hammers. During the crushing process, the contact area of materials and blow bar is a line, while the contact area of materials and hammer is a point. So the over-crushed situation of impact crusher is more serious than the new type single-rotor crusher. Moreover, the blow bars are installed with two pieces abreast into a line form, while the hammers are installed in staggered form. The staggered arrangement of hammers can improve the through rate of materials.
2. Difference in rotating speed.
The rotating speed of new type single-rotor hammer crusher is lower than impact crusher. The result of the different rotating speed is that the content of stone powder produced by impact is high to 25%, but only 15% produced by the new type single-rotor hammer crusher.
3. The protective shield of rotor plate.
The new type single-rotor hammer crusher is installed the protective shield, which is easy to replace and convenient to use. The protective shield can protect the rotor plates from abrading by the raw materials and enhance the service life of the rotor greatly.
